Puttalam PS Chairman to be in remand until case concludes

Puttalam High Court has ordered Puttalam Pradeshiya Saba Chairman Anjana Sandaruwan to be remanded until his case is concluded.

This was due to a case of violating his bail conditions as he had attempted to travel abroad while he had a travel ban imposed on him.

The travel ban had been imposed by the Puttalam High Court over an ongoing case for the murder of a person in 2010. On 16th January 2010, a person was shot dead in Madurankulama area in Puttalam.

However, Chairman Sandaruwan was arrested while attempting to travel neglecting the court order, on the 10th of September.
