Current govt. also took loans; but haven’t built even a culvert – Mahinda

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa says that people have to suffer due to the lack of planning of the present government.

Attending an event in Majuwana Sri Pushparama temple in Galle held yesterday (22), former President stated that unemployment has increased while the development has come to a halt. The banking system too has collapsed, he added.

Although the current government accused that the economy has collapsed due to loans taken during his tenure, repayment was done with proper management, said Rajapaksa.

However, the current government, too, has taken loans, but not even a culvert has been built using them, he further said.
