Minister of Justice Thalatha Atukorale says that, although the Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa accuses the government that she summons and instructs the Attorney General to file cases, he has forgotten that, he, unlike any other President, had kept the Attorney General’s Department under him.

She said that during the previous regime the people’s confidence in the law was tarnished.

There is no greed of power for the current government, however, only the current government will stay in power till 2020, Minister said.

She further said that until 2020 not even an ant will be allowed to influence the present government.

Minister Atukorale made these comments, today (15), at an event held to vest the Ratnapura-Mudduwa road with the public.
