A special discussion between President Maithripala Sirisena representatives of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) is to be held at the parliamentary premises this evening (17).

Leader of TNA R. Sampanthan, leader of Illankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi Mavai Senathirajah, MP M. A. Sumanthiran and other TNA representatives will attend this meeting.

Tamil National Alliance has reportedly decided not to vote in favor of the Budget proposal for year 2019.

However, a final decision regarding this will be arrived at following the discussion with the President, stated MP Sumanthiran.

Additionally, land issues in North and East and the issue of Tamil political prisoners will also be brought in to the attention of the President, MP further said.
