Will act against those who destroy archaeological sites regardless of status – Wijedasa

Minister of Higher Education Mr. Wijedasa Rajapakshe says that the law will be implemented against those who destroy archaeological sites without any regard to their status.

The minister points out that according to the statistics, archaeological sites are least destroyed in the Northern and Eastern Provinces.

Rajapakshe made these comments during an observation tour of several archaeological sites that have been destroyed, in Trincomalee district.
