Several more ministers take oath

Another group of Parliamentarians were sworn in as Cabinet Ministers and State Ministers before President Maithripala Sirisena today (08) at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.

Accordingly, two new ministers and 5 new state ministers were appointed.

Bandula Gunawardena was appointed the Minister of International Trade and Investment Promotion while Susil Premajayantha received the ministerial portfolios of Public Administration, Home Affairs and Justice.

Anura Priyadarshana Yapa has been appointed the State Minister of Finance and C.B. Rathnayake as State Minister of Transport.

Accordingly, the newly appointed ministers are as follows:


Cabinet Ministers

Susil Premajayantha: Minister of Public Administration, Home Affairs and Justice

Bandula Gunawardena: Minister of International Trade and Investment Promotion


State Ministers

S.M. Chandrasena: State Minister of Social Empowerment

Lakshman Wasantha Perera: State Minister of International Trade and Investment Promotion

Salinda Dissanayake: State Minister of Indigenous Medicine

C. B. Rathnayake: State Minister of Transport

Anura Priyadarshana Yapa: State Minister of Finance
