Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam’s arms procurer and later leader Kumar Pathmanadan under interrogation has revealed that US citizen Raj Rajaratnam who was arrested by the FBI had been a leading contributor of money to the terrorist group, Sri Lanka government sources said.

These contributions are intricately connected with the opposition politicians outside the LTTE but implementing a parallel political agenda with the terrorist group, the sources said. The LTTE also known as the Tamil Tigers with its fronts is a proscribed terrorist group in the United States.

Sources close to the government said these revelations about Raj Rajaratnam’s contributions to the terrorist group tally with some findings of United States investigations.

KP who was arrested in a Kulalumpur Hotel is now in the custody of the Sri Lanka government being interrogated about the elaborate LTTE connections about its leading donors, influential Western connections who were on its pay roll, earnings of the group on drug and gun running and its intricate business empire.

KP has revealed that Raj Rajaratnam who was nabbed by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) after listening to him by wire taps for criminal insider trading scams has given money lavishly for the terrorist group and its Western sympathizer individuals.

KP’s evidence of the LTTE receiving money from America’s biggest swindler of its stock market have been collaborated by two letters now in the hands of the US intelligence.

This KP is a tritor of eelam. He accumulated billions of dollars that we contributed to tamil cause. Now he is betryaing all other leaders. What is wrong with Rajaratnam contributing for tamil struggle. Mr Rajaratnam was classic model of tamil entreprenuership and ardent supporter of LTTE. Since he was victim of political oppression of then government of Sri Lanka he had a duty to support eelam struggle. How many government politicians took money from him during 2002-2004 peace accord time? Why are you not taking any actions against them? It is because they are srilankans. Since Rajaratnam is an US citizen you are shouting. In fact sometime back he sent usd 3 millions to one of his old friends who is strong opposition memeber now in parliament. How many banks and big bluechip companies that he has invested through stock market in Colombo? When he invests in srilankan companies he was a good boy! At that time you did not ask any question of his support to tamil cause. Raj is smart, he will get away from this trouble.

I guess tamil cause was murdering thousands of innocent people in cold blood. If indeed somebody contributed to a terrorist organisation such as LTTE then there is plenty wrong with that

KP might have said this to stop the interrogation.Rajaratnam is a good role model for any Sri Lankan Entrepreneur.and the question is why our TID has to ask this from KP after keeping him inside for over 2 months . coz since Rajaratnam is the richest Tamil of Sri Lankan Origin they should have started with him the soon they arrested KP .

Chintanayas are of course jealous of this great sri lankan. Raj was very generous with his funding to TRO and my NGO. I still out of some of those funds because MR brothers busted TRO accounts in the aftermath of war. I am not worried because i know, with an UNP gov in power, i am going to get all i lost with interest. Chintanayas will have to pay back big time i know for sure.
