Village in Akurana sealed off; Kadayankulam residents quarantined

A village in Akurana, Kandy has been sealed off to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, stated the Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva.
Meanwhile, residents of Kadayankulam in Puttalam have been directed to be quarantined for 14 days at a quarantine center set up within the village itself.
Accordingly, 118 persons from Kadayankulam will be directed for quarantine.
These measures have been taken with reports of new COVID-19 patients from the area.
Further, Atulugama in the Kalutara district and Akurana in the Kandy district have been declared isolated areas. Entry to or exit from these two villages have been completely prohibited.
