President to hold Presidential poll first

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has decided to hold the Presidential election first, Media Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa told Adaderana a short while ago.

 

The decision was arrived at after discussions with United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) constituent parties this morning, the Minister added.

Dear my fellow Tamils in Sri Lanka. Of two characters President Mahinda is too strong. Gen Fonseka is in our hands with his green card. Our brothers in US can make Gen Fonseka dance to any tune. We lost our great hero Prabakaran due to leadership of Mahinda. So this is a golden opportunity to destroy unity amongs strong srilankans. Therefore, need of the moment is to bring General Fonseka to power. Once he is in the seat we can get what we wanted. Do not worry, agreement with JVP is just paper, once he comes to power he can kick JVP out. Therefore, in order to get out motherland and dignity please support Gen Fonseka. If you mis this chance to chase Mahinda away we will not have any chance of establish our homeland with the support of international community. Dear MR, U had two years to correct your issues….. I think the best way was to go for general election and clear the parliament. Establish law and order…. Then ppl will definitely vote U…. I still believer this is an unnecessary call… BUT MR knows what he can do during 2 years and he knows what will happen after 2 years… He is really scared to face for the reality…

I am just coming out of high power UNP meeting at Sirikkota. As a clear respect for Hon Ravi Karunanayake, Gen Fonseka agreed to not to participate or hold any election rallies at following towns. Pamankada, Alimankada, Thoppigala, Medawachchiya and Kilinochchiya. We have advice UNP election committee to avoid organizing meetings at above townships. We truly regret inconveniece caused to our UNP supporters at those towns.

Dear President Mahinda, The people of Sri Lanka are solidly behind you & you are assured of an historic victory, which will be over the two - thirds majority, which will strengthen your hands to bring in massive reform measures & unify this country once & for all & direct this country towards great prosperity & happiness for all it´s people of all religious faiths - of Islam, Hinduism, Christianity & Buddhism & for their children & the generations of children to follow. Sri Lankan´s know that they can walk the streets, travel in bus´s, trains, ships & aircraft without fear, because of you - our President & Commander - in - Chief. Neither you nor your brothers Gotabhaya or Basil, the Yodayas of our time, have ever been heard to praise themselves or boast that they were the sole people, who brought peace to our country, delivered Sri Lanka from Terrorism & ushered in Real Independence to Sri Lanka. Therein lies the greatness - in your modesty & real strength of character. Neither have you belittled or spoken in disdain of Saarath Fonseka - " The man who bites the hand that feeds him & licks the boot that kicks him", who virtually claims to have won the war all by himself, denying the vital roles played by Navy Commander Wasantha Karannagoda & his gallant forces & the Air Force Commander & his valiant Airmen. Thus, in Sarath Fonseka we see, the selfish & vain inglorious attitude of a man, who was only a cog, maybe an important cog in the machine, but still only a cog in the war machine. Even if his claim was that he was the whole machine himself, he forgets that the machine cannot function by itself, but a human maestro has to operate it. Thus, you who operated this machine, our Commander in Chief, we pay you our respects, in the name of the people of Sri Lanka. Now that the war is over, it is you once again, on whom the people of this country rely exclusively, to move the country forward on massive development, reintegration of all the people as an unified people, economic & social development & lifting Sri Lanka to the pinnacle as an advanced country not only materialistically, but more importantly as a principled democratic country that values human & spiritual values. Your love of your country & all its citizens, irrespective of religious affiliations, have endeared you to all our citizens. Your love of children certainly makes you the Father of our Country, in addition to that title being yours anyway, by virtue of your regaining Real Freedom & Independence for our country. You have proved to be a Real Man, one whose determination & focus cannot be broken – not by International Conspirators or their lackeys – the Local Traitors. You have proved time & again that what you promise, you always achieve, you always deliver. You have done the Impossible, by the standards of the world. Eight years & more & still continuing, the USA & NATO forces are getting banged – up by the Taliban & the Al Quaeda forces of Bin Laden. Having vast economic resources & military fire – power has not given the USA & NATO any success. By comparison, little Sri Lanka with limited resources economic & military, have under your Leadership, quashed in less than 03 years the Terrorist LTTE, which according to the USA itself was the most dangerous & ruthless Terrorist organisation in the world. Thus whilst Little Sri Lanka destroys the most powerful Terrorist organisation in the world, mighty USA & allies are still getting beaten up by the second & third tier terrorist organisations in the world. Your success is all the more significant, because you are the only Leader of a country who destroyed terrorism in less than 03 years, whereas the last successful action against terrorism was in the 1950’s,almost 60 years before, when it took the British Empire more than 07 years to quell the Communist insurrection in Malaysia. So, my dear President we have a National & International Hero in you. If we are to speak historically, we are proud & honoured, to be living in this country at a time when the great Mahinda & his brave brothers, the Rajapakse’s also graced this land. We know that this is just the beginning & more good will follow for the people of this land, under your great leadership. We also expect great things from your brothers & the extended Rajapakse family, a fine family of nationalists & patriots who put their country before themselves. In the finest traditions of the Kennedy family – with President John Fitzgerald Kennedy, brothers Robert Kennedy & Edward ( Ted ) Kennedy, who individually & collectively made great contributions to their country, the USA & also the Pandava brothers in the Mahabharatha, the Gandhi family in India, your family too , of accomplished & talented brothers, have in their own right & also collectively with you, have done so much for Sri Lanka . People of SL are educated and much wiser than any other time. They will not be slave to someone or a thing to warship for the rest of their lives like in the past. We all wanted to defeat LTTE. MR promised to simply get elected like all previous political crooks during election time but had know idea how to it. Sri Lanka luckily found a patriotic and bold commander completely different from previous commanders and the one has been selected to the post now who would do anything to stick in and make a dime. We thank MR for being the president who allowed Gen SF to do the job. It is right time for Rajapakse clan to retire and also to return all the stolen money and property belong to us the citizens because you all already had a good ride with all the perks and so many leaches.
