COVID-19: Seventeen new recoveries take total to 232

Seventeen more persons who had tested positive for COVID-19 have recovered completely and been discharged from hospital today (07), says the Ministry of Health.

On that account, the total count of coronavirus recoveries in the country has reached 232 now.

The new recoveries have been reported from IDH Hospital, Iranawila Hospital and Welisara Navy Hospital, according to the Epidemiology Unit of the ministry.

The Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry stated that 556 active cases are currently under medical care at selected hospitals across the island.

Nine coronavirus fatalities have been confirmed in Sri Lanka to date.
