The Election Commission states that the Commission has not declared the dates for the postal voting of the General Election 2020 as of yet.

The Commission stated that the information circulated through social media regarding postal voting dates is completely false.

The Election Commission mentioned this issuing a statement with the signature of the Chairman of the Commission Mahinda Deshapriya.

Deshapriya has said that the Elections Commissioner General and relevant officials have informed him that no Election Commission papers have been prepared or submitted to the Election Commission setting dates for the election.
