COVID-19: Recoveries hit 1,421 as more patients regain health

Twenty-four more COVID-19-infected patients under medical care were discharged from hospitals today (18) as they have recovered completely.

Accordingly, Sri Lanka’s recoveries count moved up to 1,421, the Ministry of Health said.

In the meantime, coronavirus-positive cases confirmed in the country hiked to 1,924 on with 09 new cases reported yesterday (17).

The number of active coronavirus cases under medical care meanwhile stands at 492.

Eleven patients have died due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Sri Lanka.
