October 21, 2020   11:33 pm

The quarantine curfew is not an obstacle for the operation of factories related to exports in the Gampaha District, stated the Commander of Army and Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva.

During the curfew period, the employees of such institutions could use the identity card issued by their place of employment as a curfew pass to go to their place of work and return home.

A quarantine curfew is scheduled to be imposed within the Gampaha District from 10.00 p.m. today (21).

The curfew will be in effect until 5.00 am on Monday (October 26) morning.

However, vehicles will be allowed to pass through Gampaha District during the quarantine curfew, without making a stop within the curfew imposed areas.
