SLIIT partners with Virtusa to offer the  “Certified Software Quality Assurance Associate” course

The ‘Virtusa head start’ programme, launched in Sri Lanka acts as the perfect platform giving the pool of I.T potential in the country the head start they need to make it big in an ever evolving, ever developing, ever growing I.T world. The reputed global IT services company together with the renowned Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) introduced this program with the intention of boosting the quality of the Software Testing educational experience and maximise student potential within the IT sector.

 

The program has been initiated as a means of backward integrating into the Institutes with the aim of developing a budding talent pool for the IT Industry. The program offers the ‘Certified Software Quality Assurance Associate’ course to provide a head start for students who wish to pursue a career in Software Test Engineering. Upon completion of the course, students are qualifies for a two-month internship at Virtusa, enabling them to gather valuable experience in relation to technologies, methods and tools used in the enterprises.

 

Mr. Chandana Ranasinghe, Head of Software Test Engineering at Virtusa, elaborates that “We have been working very closely with SLIIT in building capacity for Test Engineering over past few Years. We consider Virtusa Head start to be a milestone of our relationship, as Virtusa has moved one step closer to creating a path that enhances the employability of graduates”.
