Ranil Wickremesinghe should be removed and the leadership of the Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya ‘dayaka sabha’ or lay trustees should be handed over to him, says Minister Mervyn Silva.

Attending a ceremony organized by the lay trustees of the historic Buddhist temple last evening, Minister Silva said that Ranil Wickremesinghe has not made any significant contribution to uplift the Buddha Sasana in the area.

Mervyn Silva added that he has and will give his utmost to uplift the lives of the families of the Samaneras or novice Buddhist monks in the Gampaha district. He said that he expects to utilize Rs. 10 million to complete this project.
