Kohona to convey Govt’s objection regarding the expert panel

Sri Lanka’s Permanent Representative to the UN Dr. Palitha Kohona is meeting with UN Chief of staff Vijay Nambiar to convey the Government’s objection on the proposed panel of experts to advice UN chief Ban Ki Moon on Sri Lanka, Foreign Ministry sources told Ada Derana.

 

 

 

Earlier it was reported that UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is in the process of finding experts for an advisory panel that will counsel him on what options can be pursued with regards to alleged human rights violations in Sri Lanka.
