VIDEO: STF protection for counting centers- Karu

The Elections Commissioner has agreed to give Police Special Task Force(STF) protection for all counting centres, UNP Deputy Leader Karu Jayasuriya said today. He added that the General election already cannot be termed free and fair due to the non-adherence to the Election Commissioners orders.

UNP leader Ranil Wickremasinghe speaking at the press conference said that the UNP is only asking for a two year mandate according to its manifesto because the benefits could be reaped by the third year.
