Quake off Nicobar Islands - No tsunami

A 5.3-Magnitude earthquake struck off the Indian Ocean’s Nicobar Islands on Wednesday, seismologists said. The quake hit at 2.14am (2014 GMT, 4.14am Singaporetime) 154km west of the town of Mishain the Indian-controlled territory, the US Geological Survey said. It was registered at a depth of 28km. No tsunami warning was immediately issued. – (AFP)
