Wimal Weerawansa today hit back at the Government for offering only one
National list slot for his party under the UPFA. Earlier it was agreed that the
NFF will be allocated two national list slots and that is why M. Muzzamil and
Achala Jagoda did not contest, Weerawansa said.
According
to Weerawansa at a meeting with Maithripala Sirisena, Basil Rajapaksa, Susil
Premajayantha, Dullas Alahapperuma and Achala Jagoda on April 20 they were
informed that only one slot will be allocated for the NFF. He added that they
had raised their objection at the meeting. This is a most disgraceful act,
Weerawansa said.
Weerawansa said that even Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan alias Karuna Amman too sneaked into the National list at the last moment.
