SAARC nations cannot exist in isolation: President Rajapaksa

April 28, 2010   03:59 pm

The South Asia Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries cannot exist in isolation. These nations have to reach out and build up dialogues with observer states, says Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa addressing the inauguration of the 16th SAARC summit in Bhutan.

President Rajapaksa says that it will be much better and more advisable to build bridges through dialogue and cooperate with the observer nations as this would be far beneficial rather than isolating nations by regions and areas.

The 16th SAARC summit is being held at Thimpu in Bhutanfrom April 28 to 29.
