Tiger chief’s house demolished, says Tamil politician

The ancestral home of
M.K. Sivajilingam, secretary of the Tamil National Liberation Alliance, accused security forces of destroying the house a year after Prabhakaran was killed when the rebels were finally defeated after decades of bloodshed.
“They (the government) are destroying pieces of history.
They want to remove any traces of the LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam),”
Sivajilingam told AFP by telephone from the northern town of
