VIDEO: President will decide on my deputy: Keheliya

President Mahinda Rajapaksa will decide who my Deputy will be, said Media and Information Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, responding to a question by the media this morning.

Minister Rambukwella was addressing the media after he assumed office and responded thus to a question. Mervyn Silva was appointed Deputy Minister of Media earlier and there is a controversy regarding whether he will remain so. Mervyn Silva was also appointed Deputy Minister of Highways this week.

Deputy Minister Mervyn Silva speaking to Ada Derana yesterday however claimed that he was the Deputy Minister of Media and that he had not handed in his resignation.
