Sri Lankan fishermen held in India

CHENNAI: The Coast Guard on Monday detained 13 Sri Lankan fishermen who were found to be fishing in Indian waters.

 

 

According to police sources, the fishermen in two boats were found in an islet along the Andhra Pradesh border.

 

 

The accused Pradep Kumar Fernando (23), Sasi VIjayendra Fernando (23), Siraj Maninda (22) and 10 others were handed over to the Harbour police for further action on Tuesday. – (The Hindu)
