CEMS-USA launches 3-in-1 expo on Power and Energy

Conference & Exhibition Management Services Ltd – USA and CEMS India today announced a forthcoming three-in-one exhibition in Colombofocused entirely on the Power Industry and allied fields.          


 


The “02nd Power Sri Lanka 2010 International Expo’ will focus on the development of Power Generation and Transmission, Alternative Power, PV Power, Energy and Renewable Energy in Sri Lanka. The other concurrent exhibitions are “Renewable Energy Sri Lanka 2010 International Expo” and “E-Power Sri Lanka 2010 International Expo” focusing on Electric Power Equipment and Technology.


 


These three-in-one exhibitions will be held at the SLECC in Colombo from 03 to 05 June are open to both trade and business visitors from 10 am to 7.00 pm each day upon registration at the venue. This mega exhibition has been endorsed by the Ministry of Power and Energy of Sri Lanka’ and supported by the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau. Co-sponsors of the event are Cummins – Trade Promoters Ltd., United Tractor & Equipment Ltd [Caterpillar – USA] and Suzlon Energy Ltd, India.
 

 


S. S. Sarwar Group Director Global Operations - CEMS Global, said that the three concurrent exhibitions will focus not only to Sri Lanka’s power and energy sector, but will also cater to the power and energy requirements of all industrial sectors of the country.

 

 


 Exhibitors from nearly ten countries are billed to participate in these three exhibitions which will simultaneously target the local players in Sri Lanka’s power industry. Foreign investors and visitors will be able to familiarise themselves with Sri Lanka’s power and energy sector while exploring the investment climate in which the Government is actively encouraging foreign participation.


 


This Exhibition will bring together all stakeholders in the Power and Energy industry on a single B2B platform and enable exhibitors to further establish business contacts and interact directly with visiting trade delegations, industrialists, importers, distributors, agencies. It is also expected to lead to successful partnerships and joint ventures thus furthering the Sri Lankan Government’s vision of successfully facing the challenges of the power sector.

 


 
“With rapidly growing needs for power and energy, Sri Lanka is looking to explore newer opportunities in the Power, Energy, PV (Photo Voltaic) and Renewable Energy sectors of Sri Lanka. The exhibition gives special emphasis to such opportunities and encourages investment in this sector. It promotes electricity generation from renewable sources to meet an ever-growing demand and thus lessen the dependency on existing resources. This exhibition will be the perfect B2B platform for Sri Lanka’s industry stakeholders to see firsthand the latest technology and innovations in the power generation and energy sector, thus facilitating a great networking opportunity”, he added.
