United National Party (UNP) Kandy district parliamentarian A.R.M. Abdul Cader said that he is not expecting any ministerial or Deluty positions from the Government. However, He said that if the Government offers his such a position he was willing to accept it.

Mr. Cader stated this when he met the Chief Prelate of the Malwatte Chapter this morning in Kandy.

Mr. Cader has been at loggerheads with the UNP leadership for sometime since of late. The appointment of Muslim candidates from the Kandy district had aggravated the problem since Abdul Cader had urged the party leadership not to appoint too many Muslim candidates through its list.

Yesterday he categorically stated that he would not be a part in any future activities of the UNP. However he is yet to accept that he has officially joined the Government. Instead he has only stated that he approves the policies and development plans of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
