Kelaniya Uni. closed indefinitely

May 19, 2010   05:11 pm

The Kelaniya University has been closed indefinitely with immediate effect, the University Mass Media Director Mapa Thilakarathne told Ada Derana a short while ago. He added that the closure was partly due to clashes that took place between students of the Science and Arts faculties today and also a viral fever spreading among the hostellers.

However Thilakarathne stated that the Medical Faculty of the University in Ragama will remain open.

Hostellers have been advised to vacate the University premises by 8am tomorrow.
