May 20, 2010   10:52 am

We are planning on giving a comprehensive, scientific response to Channel 4 allegations, Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella told Ada Derana today. In its latest report, Channel 4 claims that it was correct in stating that the video it obtained soon after the Eelam War IV ended was authentic.

We see hidden agenda behind such allegations, he said.

This is coming at a time when talks are underway in Brussels to regain GSP plus, Rambukwella said.

He added that when the government replied to the last of such allegations 7 months ago Channel 4 was silent for some time.

Meanwhile the Foreign Ministry said that the Lankan delegation is currently having technical talks with the European Union in Brussels regarding the GSP plus concession.

The delegation comprises Foreign Secretary Romesh Jayasinghe, Finance Ministry Secretary P.B. Jayasundera and Attorney General Mohan Peiris.
