The 2010 CXO Media Conclave concluded on a high note on the 18th of May, with a view to increase the telecom industry’s understanding of the commercial and technical challenges and opportunities, specific to improving the customer experience through technology.

The conference and panel discussions focused on the business and operations support systems requirements for next-generation communications networks, and provided an ideal platform to find the hottest trends and solutions in the industry and network, with professionals representing every segment of the telecommunications industry.

“The event was yet another landmark in the telecom calendar,” says Michael Abayasinghe, CEO of Runeware Integrated, “we were honored to have been given this opportunity to collaborate with Intec who, as one of the world’s leading suppliers of Business Support Systems (BSS) solutions exhibited their comprehensive portfolio, which included: Customer Care, Charging & Billing; Total Service Mediation; and Wholesale Business Management solutions. Throughout the day, the presentations had an enormous impact on the audience and our working partnership with Intec has ensured the success of the conference, so much so that we are taking this event to Dhaka.”

This key technology event was a two part series with an interactive workshop in the morning followed by the CXO panel discussion in the evening. The forum addressed issues on how to optimize BSS investments by leveraging on existing investments and focusing on enhancing competitive differentiation, building loyalty and quality user experience effectively – thereby becoming smarter, leaner and more agile in responding to competition and emerging technologies. The interactive panel discussion brought together the CEOs of Sri Lanka’s top telecommunications companies, a keynote address by highly respected Dr. Rohan Samarajiva of LIRNEAsia, ICT experts and the media to address developments in customer experiences and its connection to new generation technology.

Organized by Intec– one of the world’s leading BSS vendors supplying billing and mediation solutions to over 60 of the world’s top 100 telecoms carriers, the CXO Media Conclave came to a close with a Gala Dinner on Tuesday night. Bikram Bedi, Vice President, South Asia of Intec said that, “the Sri Lankan Telecommunications industry has experienced rapid growth over the last few years and the constantly evolving environment has meant that companies are focusing more and more on developing the customer’s experience as well introducing the latest technologies to these customers. This exclusive forum provided a unique platform for the exchange of ideas, the space to network and the opportunity to develop thought leadership in the presence of the media and their peers in the industry.”
