New SLC Interim Committee to be appointed

A new Sri Lanka Cricket Interim Committee is to be appointed by the Sports Minister C.B. Rathnayake, sources claimed. Accordingly Chairman D.S. De Silva, Secretary Nishantha Ranathunga and Treasurer Sujeewa Rajapaksa are tipped to remain in their posts.

The new members of the Interim Committee are expected to be Kalinga N. Indrajith, Prabath Fonseka and Asanka Chandana Senarathne.

Sources however claimed that the Sports Minister’s approval is pending for the appointment.

The Members of the Former Committee are Pramodya Wickremasinhe, Lalith Wickremasinghe, Ranil Abeynaike and G.A. Weerasinghe.

However earlier Pramodya Wickremasinhe told Ada Derana that he had quit the Interim Committee membership due to personal reasons.
