UNP reform proposals within 10 days, Jayawickrema

June 13, 2010   12:45 pm

The final proposals for reforms in the United National Party (UNP) will be submitted in ten days, says party chairman Gamini Jayawickrema Perera. However Mr. Perera added that it would take some time to draw up a successful plan for reforms in the party.

Meanwhile there are reports that those in the fray for the UNP leadership are busy canvassing the lower rung of the party for support. Latest reports suggest that Gampaha District MP Dr. Jayalath Jayawardena too had joined the battle for the deputy leadership.
