VIDEO: Bravery cannot be imported, says President at victory Day parade

Bravery cannot be imported from other lands. Those countries which support terrorism will fall prey to the same terrorism, said Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa addressing the nation during the Victory Day parade at Galle Face Green in Colombo.

While bravery cannot be imported, after defeating terrorism, the belief that the land will not be returned where it was earlier should be inculcated into minds of the masses, especially the youth.

So many attempted to grab the victory away from us. By spreading stories like that of the ‘white flag carrying surrendees’, it dragged the nation into disgrace. Only those who obtain satisfaction by disgracing the armed forces could do things like that, said President Rajapaksa.

Our problems should be not a burden to other countries. We can solve them ourselves. The problems of the IDPs in the north have to be solved before the end of the year, the President added.
