Lanka will not bow down to EU - GL

Sri Lanka will not bow down to conditions set forth by European Union to acquire GSP+ benefit, said external Affairs Minister, G. L. Pieris.

Earlier this week, the European Commission informed the Sri Lankan government that they are ready to propose a limited extension period for the GSP plus benefit if the government gives a written commitment uphold certain human rights related issues.
