Tamil should accepted as an official language in India - Karunanidhi

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi demanded that Tamil should be made an official language in the central government on Sunday. He also demanded a stronger Indian intervention to protect the Tamils of Sri Lanka.

 


 

He reiterated these demands on the concluding day of the five-day World Classical Tamil Congress in this textile city.

 

 


He also reiterated his demand that Tamil should be made the official language of the Madras High Courts at this Congress.
