CID officer and restaurant owner under custody for 48 hours

The courts have granted permission to keep the two men arrested for dumping the body of an Indian into the sea, under custody for 48 hours. A chief police inspector of the CID and a restaurant owner in Wellawatte were arrested for this alleged crime.

 

 

The courts also ordered that a post mortem to be done and that his family be notified for the identification of the body.

 

 

The Mundalama Police followed the double-cab and arrested the suspects last evening.

The police also found a pistol and other equipment in the cab.
