You don’t have to spend too much or to look too far to have
an informal, yet elegant, reasonable yet value for money stylish “High Tea”
buffet where you could just relax, sit and enjoy the breathtaking view of the
“Lotus Pond” and of course enjoy a selection of designer teas along with a
selection of designer gourmet sweets and savouries. “The Blend” at the Hilton
Colombo is what we are talking about which happens every Wednesday and Sunday
from 3pm to 6pm.
High Tea is served twice a week with themed buffets. Dilmah
offers tea in a modern lifestyle and the sophistication that tea offers, to
complement its health and other benefits. Guests could enjoy the special t-Bar
menu that would offer hot Gourmet and VSRT (Very Special Rare Teas) teas which
range from ‘mild and gentle’, ‘light and bright’, ‘medium bodied to ‘dark and
powerful’.
In July special themed tea buffets will take place on every
Wednesdays and Sundays. Crunchy Crusts – an array of pastries, rolls sweet and
savoury, Jam Factory with different types of jams used, Bread factory – large
number of sandwiches made in different shapes and sizes and flavours, Café de
Paris – French pastries, Little Mini Treats where you could try little
sandwiches, pancakes, pastries, Pie and Tarts – cheese tarts, apple pies, butter
tarts, lemon tarts and also something unique, Chinese Tea tasting!
Apart from the above the t-Bar also features original t-Cocktails and t-Mocktails. Tea can be enjoyed hot, chilled, in tea & spirit combinations and in ice cream t-Shakes. The t-Bar was launched two years ago by Dilmah Founder Merrill J. Fernando and Hilton Colombo’s General Manager Jerome Auvity.
