Direct flights between Sri Lanka and Ukraine

President Mahinda Rajapaksa and the president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych have decided to begin direct flights between Sri Lanka and Ukraine following talks held by the two heads of state on the strengthening of tourism ties.

 

 

After discussing the importance of Ukrainian tourists visiting Sri Lanka and vice-versa and also after identifying issues both countries are currently facing on the development of tourism they had come to the conclusion that direct flights between the two countries are vital.

 

 

Direct flights will be between Colombo and Kiev the capital of Ukrainewith the help of the airline services of the respective countries, said President´s Media Coordinating Secretary Wijayananda Herath.
