Doctor, two others nabbed in abortion centre raid

Ja-ela police raided an illegal abortion centre that has been functioning in the Ekala area for the past several years. A doctor and two others have been taken into custody this morning, Police sources said.


While this doctor had been conducting this abortion centre for several years, he had allegedly charged Rs. 12.000 for each abortion.


Thirteen females who had been at the centre have been sent for medical examination, Police said. Ja-ela Police is proceeding with further investigations.
