The Generalized System of Preference Plus (GSP+) trade concessions are something a country cannot enjoy forever. Those concerned should be prepared to lose these types of concessions sometime or another, Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning Dr. Sarath Amunugama told AdaDerana a short while ago.

This trade concession was granted when the country was facing difficulties after the tsunami. Depending on the GSP Plus is like a person using crutches while being disabled and still holding on and using the crutches even after being cured of the disability, said Dr. Amunugama.
