VIDEO:UNP protests outside Parliament

UNP MPs including opposition leader Ranil Wickramasinghe staged a protest in front of Parliament premises today against constitutional changes that were proposed so that the President could stand for a third term.

They protested at the steps leading to the Parliament entrance holding placards asking not to destroy the county’s democracy for the sake of the family.

The UNP leader said that tomorrow they will begin a nation-wide program distributing leaflets.
