Of the many annual events to recognize the contributions of partners and industry experts, the Douglas and Sons (Pvt) Limited GT awards is one of the most prestigious awards nights for the tyre industry.
Held recently in Jakarta, Indonesia, the event counted H.E Djaffer Hussein, Indonesian Ambassador in Sri Lanka, the President and Senior officials of PT Gajah Thunggal, Indonesia among its vast array of esteemed guests. Speaking at the recently held event, Saroj Perera, Chairman/Managing Director, Douglas & Sons (Pvt) Limited emphasized the importance of the GT Awards. “The GT awards are centered on congratulating our tyre dealers for making GT Sri Lanka the market leader among imported tyres for 14 consecutive years. Through their association with DSL and GT over the last 22 years we have seen enormous growth rates and the relationship has been a mutually beneficial one”.
Since partnering with GT in 1988, DSL has continuously solidified its position with its network as well as with the local industry. The company has seen growth in many areas and attributes this growth to the solid contribution of its dealer network and the continuing support of PT Gajah Tunggal, the manufacturing company of GT Tyres.
