UN funding jeopardized - JJ

UNP MP Jayalath Jayawardena today in parliament said that protests such as the one organized by Wimal Weerawansa will have serious international repercussions for Sri Lanka. He added that such acts have jeopardized funding from agencies such as UNICEF which contribute for the children in the North.

 

 

Responding to Jayawardena, UPFA MP Ellawala Medananda thero said that Sri Lankahad no issue with the UN. He added that the only issue was with the expert panel appointed by UN chief Ban Ki-Moon.
