Another white elephant in the treasury

Tissa Attanayake today accused that another white elephant has landed on Sri Lanka’s National Treasury.

 

The Sri Lanka Petroleum Corporation has transformed into a company filled with corruption and misappropriation said the General Secretary of the UNP at a media conference held today.

 

He also accused the corporation of selling fuel at a high price with a profit margin over Rs.55 per liter of fuel. He said that however the Petroleum Corporation still say that they are running on losses.

 

Attanayake commented that talks scheduled to be held today are aimed at discussing the local government elections system.
