Sri Lankan in Canada runs credit card racket in Bangalore

Police
seized 205 fake credit cards of national and international banks and arrested two
persons.

officers arrested Jayakumar Samuel alias Samuel (38), a resident of
Nagadevanahalli, and Hairsh alias Steven (31), a resident of Bamboo Bazaar,

Commissioner Shankar Bidari said the accused prepared fake credit cards and
used them to purchase goods and avail services in malls and big shops.
The
accused persons were running this racket for the last two years and had
committed fraud of more than Rs 50 lakh, he said.

investigating team seized 35 blank cards, five swiping machines, one lamination
machine, one laptop and one reader machine, Rs 27,660 and a Skoda car.
Police
also seized fake driving licenses and PAN cards from the possession of the
accused.
Police said they were also circulating fake driving licenses and PAN cards in the city.

Samuel is wanted in a case registered in Tamil Nadu by Chennai CID and was
evading arrest.
