DNA goes to Lipton’s Circus for SF’s release

Members and supporters of the Democratic National Alliance (DNA) marched on to the Lipton’s Circus this evening demanding the release of General (retired) Sarath Fonseka.


At the Lipton’s Circus Gen. Fonseka’s wife Mrs. Anoma Fonseka addressed the supporters and said that this was a struggle to win the release of her husband who has been detained by the government on frivolous charges.


Anura Kumara Dissanayake of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), a constituent of the DNA said that the government was muzzling the media.


DNA Parliamentarian Arjuna Ranatunga rtoo addressed the demonstrators.
