It is difficult to serve the Tamil people while being outside the government so I decided to join the government, Praba Ganesan said at Temple Trees today. He also added that he informed his brother and DPF leader Mano Ganesan of his crossover.

Mano Ganesan did not object to me crossing over, Praba added.

A short while ago both Praba Ganesan and P. Digambaram crossed over to the government at Parliament.

However in a statement the Democratic People’s Front denied the news & claim that DPF Colombo District parliamentarian Praba Ganesan has joined the government. Speaking to Ada Derana General Secretary of the DPF Nalliah Kumaraguruparan said that The DPF never decided on any such move and always abides by the people’s mandate given.
