15 soldiers injured in Army bus accident

An army bus has met with an accident on the A-9 road in front of a police checkpoint in the Irapperiyakulama, Vavuniya area at 9.10 a.m. today. 15 soldiers have been injured in this accident and have been admitted to the hospital.
The bus which was going from Elephant Pass to Anuradhapura has swerved off the main road in front of the Irapperiyakulama police checkpoint and has hit a tree nearby. This accident has taken place due to the driver of the army bus turning off the road to give way to a police water Bowser.
The Vavuniya hospital said that out of the 15 soldiers who were injured, the condition of one of them is critical. The police have started investigations about this accident.
