Killer haul in wheels detected at airport
A Pakistani national with six kilograms of heroin in his possession has been arrested at the Katunayake International Airport, say police.
The person had arrived at the airport from Lahore in Pakistan, said Police Media Spokesman SP Prishantha Jayakody.
The heroin valued at over Rupees 20 million is in the custody of the Police Narcotics Bureau. The drugs had been cleverly concealed within 21 metal wheels, said the Police spokesman.
