Upulangani leads Mangala’s AJP: CBK as advisor not true, says Ruwan F.

Upulangani Malagamuwa has been entrusted with the task of leading the Ape Jathika Peramuna (AJP or Our National Front) after its convenor Mangala Samaraweera joined the United National Party (UNP) last week.
She was acting as the General Secretary till Mr. Samaraweera joined the UNP last week.
However when Adaderana contacted Ruwan Ferdinandez who was the General Secretary of the AJP, regarding news that former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga has been invited to the position of advisor to the party, he said there was no truth in the rumors. However he confirmed that Ms. Upulangani Malagamuwa has been entrusted with the running of the party.
Former UPFA Minister who crossed over to the Opposition, Mangala Samaraweera obtained United National Party (UNP) membership last week along with 21 of his party men.
