AUDIO: Mano gives ultimatum to Prabha

Prabha Ganesan has been given 14 days notice to return to the Opposition, Democratic People’s Front (DPF) leader Mano Ganesan told Adaderana a short while ago.
Prabha Ganesan joined the government last week along with another United National Party (UNP) Parliamentarian P. Digambaram.
Mano Ganesan said that his party’s general secretary has officially written to Prabha Ganesan to disassociate himself from the government. Failing which disciplinary action would be initiated against him for breaching party decisions, he said.

Withdraw from the government or face consequences: Mano gives 14 days time to Praba
Democratic Peoples Front has written to MP Praba Ganesan to withdraw from the government or face disciplinary action. General Secretary of the party and member of Western Provincial council Dr. Nalliah Kumaraguruparan with the concurrence of the party leader Mano Ganesan has informed Praba Ganesan MP in writing to withdraw from the government and return to the opposition benches in the house.
The letter has also warned MP Praba Ganesan against supporting and voting with the government for the latter to obtain the two thirds majority in the house.
The ten member disciplinary committee appointed by Mano Ganesan is headed by General Secretary Dr. Nalliah Kumaraguruparan and consists of another nine politburo members of the party.
An emergency meeting of the DPF politburo is scheduled to be held at the party headquarters in Colombo. Invitations to all 25 members of the politburo have been sent, says a statement released by DPF media office.
