President appoints special commission for Susantha’s case

President has appointed a special one-man commission to investigate the case of the alleged murder of Susantha Bandara of Ruhunu University, stated President’s Media. The commission consists of retired Supreme Court judge Jagath Balapatabendi.

 

 

The commission is set to find who is responsible for the alleged murder of Susantha Bandara on June 22 in Badulla and make a recommendation. The President has appointed this committee because due to the controversy surrounding the case of this university student and because the public expects a verdict, President’s media adds.

 

 

The report of the commission is due in three months.
